KT66 used in various guitar and hi-fi amps ie Messa Boogie, Quad etc. 6L6 can do a similiar function but the KT66 is generally a better valve. The KT66 is a favorite especially for hi-fi applications. The GEC varient is one of the most sought after output valves. |
